The Gathering of Fixed Stars-Original Art

A woman of color as a figurative handprint in a  harmony of patterns, some of which are hand printed paper sections or hand painted detail in gouache and watercolor. Linocut printed in black ink and collaged discs create this totally unique image with hand stitching and gold star appliques. The smaller figures are from the Book of Fixed Stars, an ancient Iranian manuscript. Background colored paper is printed in a way that layers many colors of ink on Japanese paper.
